What do you charge for travel?
All the details about travel are in my contract. To give some insight on travel costs, I charge $0.65 per mile (2o miles roundtrip outside of my current residence is complimentary). My packages do not travel costs and housing accommodation.
Talk to me about video!
As video is taking over the world, I have dived into the craft myself. I offer wedding videography services: One 8-10 montage, produced digitally and/or one shorter analog video (using Super8 film). Ask to see my portfolio for separate pricing and details!
How do you photograph weddings?
Documentary approach. Organic, beautiful moments are what I strive to capture. I stray away from the forced, staged, and heavily posed pictures. Fear not about feeling awkward in front of the camera because my number one mission on wedding days is to make you feel comfortable and relaxed by giving direction and prompting to create magic!
When will I receive my photos?
Each session type is different.
Weddings: 2-3 months
Elopements: 3-4 weeks
Engagements: 2-3 weeks
Fashion/Senior Sessions/Headshots (Every other category): 1-2 weeks
(Film processing varies timelines except for weddings)
Can I keep my negatives (film)?
Unfortunately, no. Giving away negatives is the equivalent of giving away the raw files. Doing this is essentially giving away huge profits. Most wedding photographers, before digital, did this as well. I like to keep not releasing "raw files" the same across the board.
If you come to me with a proposal of compensation I would consider giving some away.
What are the differences between film and digital?
Film requires processing and scanning in a physical lab meanwhile digital is instantaneous. From camera to computer. I have not yet acquired the chemicals and equipment needed for at-home processing (a dream) for analog. So, I use one of the best-developing labs and I have been going to them since I was a little girl. This process requires more to deliver but I highly recommend including it in your shoot because film is absolutely worth it!
